XF 1.1 Close dropdown on mouse out?

Is there currently a method of providing a "close on mouse out" function? For example a user hovers over Inbox, the dropdown opens and stays present until a click elsewhere. I'd prefer the dropdown to close on mouse out (or incorporate a small delay before closing).

No, I did not have the ability to change the operation. I would like to see "open on mouseover" (no click) and "close on mouseoff" (no click). This would be nice to have. Has anyone put in an official request for it? (I haven't). I did not go live with XF. I decided there was no point doing this since the next version is currently under development. New features will require many changes to my template edits, so I'm back on the fence again.
