XF 2.1 Changing Paypal primary address

I wish to change my primary PayPal email address.

I currently have some recurring subs being paid into that account via that address. I have a couple of questions.

1. Is this the correct procedure?

• Change the primary email address in paypal account
• Keep the old primary email in Paypal as a secondary account
• Add that new primary email as primary address in Xenforo Paypal payment profile
• Put old primary address into Paypal secondary accounts fields.

Is step 4 actually necessary?

2. So if any existing recurring payments get cancelled by the member (that were the old primary), will they then get their xenforo user upgrade automatically cancelled and demoted back from promoted user group?

Is step 4 actually necessary?

After speaking to Paypal, it seems it is not necessary to add the previous primary email as a secondary, as the recurring payments are linked to the Payapl account itself, NOT the email address.

Has anyone found this to be true or false?
