Change header arrangement based on screen resolution?

Hi,

As the subject states, is it possible to change header arrangement based on the screen resolution in use by a user?

I'm working on a concept header design. Currently I'm using 1680 X 1050 and it looks really nice in that resolution. But when I come down to let's say 1300 X something, it does not look all that good anymore.

Any suggestions on this one would be very much appreciated.

There are different strategies for this. I personally prefer to use a fixed width layout to avoid the problem of scaling:
