XF 1.1 Change Forum to Category

Just created bunch of forums that should instead serve as category. No posts in them. Anyway to change them to category?

There is no such option. Forums and categories are different data types in XF. You can't convert between them. You need to create new categories.

Still no fix? I have created Categorie instead of Forum, and there are a lot of Child Nodes.

There is nothing to 'fix'.

Node types cannot be changed.

Your fix was given here. Create a new Forum Node (name it Test replacement), then reassign all the current child nodes in the category you currently have to the new Test Node. Delete the old category, rename the Test Node to the old Category name and viola. You are done.
