XF 1.5 Can't scroll down on overlay that extends past bottom of screen -- Chrome for Mac

Discussion in 'Styling and Customization Questions' started by GoodForAnother, Sep 9, 2016.

  1. Hello, I have customized our board with dozens of thread icons and am running into a bug on Chrome for Mac OS X. When the overlay for "Edit Thread" is pulled up, it extends past the bottom of the screen, and trying to scroll down scrolls the page behind the overlay, not the overlay itself. This behavior does not happen in Chrome for Windows, which I find really odd. Anyone have any ideas? Screen Shot 2016-09-08 at 7.43.29 PM.png

Is the thread icon from an add-on?

If so, the author should be able to apply an edit to the overlay so it scrolls within the window.
  3. It is an add-on. I will speak to the author -- I assumed that this was a Xenforo styling thing, not something with the add-on. Thanks!

Well technically it is a core template/overlay, but there's no need to make it scrollable by default as it would never normally be long enough to warrant it.

The author of the add-on can apply a template mod to change it and allow it to scroll.

another possible solution is make the icon selection a drop down menu instead of a button selection.
