XF 2.1 Can XenForo be used for other sites/apps besides a forum?

I know there is a big technical lift, but can this be done or would it be in violation of the terms? (Like a SaaS product for example...)

Regarding terms: Write a ticket.

You can customize the software so that the forum itself is just one (maybe no so important) part of your site. Benefit: you have User management, Alerts, Conversations and much more features built in. But I would not recommend XF if you don't need a forum at all.
