RM 2.3 Can I allow Resources only via link?

I want Resources on my board to be only via external link, removing the possibility of uploading a file. I want to do this because I want to remove the requirement to create an account to download a resource.

This way, unknown people or bots would not be able to force my hosting by consuming all of its resources.

I did not find in Options > XenForo Resource Manager an option to not allow file uploads. The quantity does not go below 1.

In User Group Permissions I also did not find any option to restrict the possibility of uploading files in the Resource Manager.

Create categories for your Resources.

Resource Categories let you specify what types can be added - giving you control over this.



Admin CP > Resources > Resource Categories

It's good practice to create Categories anyway to help users find the reources they want easier.
