Duplicate Can bring forum censorship options into the 21st century?

Coming from vBulletin the one thing that has bugged the **** out of me (oops) is the fact that word censorship is an all or nothing deal. You allow no method for members to disable censorship AND you even censor words in URLs. (see here: http://xenforo.com/community/threads/integrate-yahoo-smush-it-api-with-xenforo.22378/#post-280727)

Can we put some effort into fixing both of these problems?

Censoring in URLS is intentional: http://xenforo.com/community/threads/no-censor-action-on-urls.13249/

White listing and member controlled censoring has already been suggested.
