As a home theater/content forum, we discuss a lot of movies and TV shows.
Would it be possible to have a “Reveal All Spoilers” button that works for an entire thread, so a reader can hit one button and all spoilers are revealed in an entire thread as they’re reading? They wouldn’t have to tap each and every single spoiler tag to show them.
If everyone follows the idea of spoiler-hiding everything the first few days after a new episode, users will be tapping to read on every single post for pages and pages for an entire season.
It also adds friction to creating a post. You’ve got to remember to push a button and then type in a thing. It’s not normal posting flow.
These things add a little bit of annoyance and effort to reading and posting to our forum and we’re all busy. Lots of things competing for our time. Adding friction is not what a forum wants to do.
