When I try to enter a query in search from right top, it shows multiple suggestions.
But i also want to type in member name that won't appear , it gets hidden in suggestions. When clicking elsewhere it quits search box.

Maybe something needs a change.
I am Xiaomi handset

It doesn't look like it to me, unless you have modified the default theme. Can you switch to an original unaltered default theme and see if the display issue with the search will still be the same?
