XF 1.5 Bootstrap and xenForo

Hi! I have a couple of questions regarding Bootstrap and xenForo. I'm taking an online coding bootcamp, and it has a section covering bootstrap; however, I primarily will be working with xenForo and other similar software, so I'm debating on whether or not going through this section will pay off. If it doesn't work with xenForo, I have no interest in learning it at the moment.

Are xenForo 1.5 and Bootstrap compatible without heavy customization? I read old topics about this but I'm not sure if anything has changed. If not, does xenForo 2 have better compatibility with Bootstrap?

You already have CSS and JS frameworks provided by your XF themes and templates.

I can’t see how implementing Bootstrap (designed for blank websites) into XF would be of any benefit (unless you were really set on a particular layout) because you’ll probably run into conflicts the moment you try to combine Bootstrap’s CSS and JS with XF.
