Boost in traffic this weekend?

Nothing special happened in my community this weekend. Yet when I look at analytics, I see this:

The interesting thing is that according to AdSense, there has not been a spike in impressions. Which means either everyone in this MASSIVE growth has adblock, or they are all bots. Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm also looking at average visit duration. Which was normally around 6-8 minutes; but during these spikes, it drops to as low as 30 seconds. Which tells me again, they are bots, get rejected by my spam systems, and then go away.

I've had periods, usually 7-10 days of huge spikes in bots and spam, and then the visits go back down to normal.

Granted I don't have as much activity, but I show the same pattern throughout the week.
