Bing SEO Webkit says homepage links to /posts is unnecessary redirect?

I seem to have thousands of SEO violations according to bings webkit, so I'm trying to work through them, mostly alt tags missing and basic kinda stuff, shouldn't be an issue to sort out, but some are annoying and I'm unsure about them.

I have links from the homepage to threads (in the latest thread column) pointing to /posts/654654646 rather than /thread/something.5546546 (for example) and bing doesn't seem to like this.

Can I change that to point to the thread at all?

I'm going to say that the home page is not really the primary entry point? (Or is it??)

I have a million page views, and 1000 or so on home...

Correct, quite a large board.

I'll disallow /posts in robots.txt as suggested above. :)
