Best Speed Optimization Tips/Strategies

What are some things you have done to improve your forum's load time/speed?

Running a new build through Google PageSpeed Insights, GT Metrix and Pingdom and showing horrible results.

New build. Only a few hundred users. Sitting on a dedicated server.

Would love to hear what some people have done...because slow load at this stage means even slower as this grows.

Ideally would like to get speed optimized now before growth.

My discovery is to use only the standard supplied .htaccess file by XenForo.
And Redis is actived on my server.
And my new phpBB forum - no .htaccess file - made that forum fast and snappy.

Heden heb ik op de fora die ik beheer de aangepaste .htaccess bestanden ingewisseld voor de standaard .htaccess bestanden. Dit heeft er voor gezorgd dat de database nu een rustiger bestaan heeft en niet bij iedere pagina die opgeroepen wordt in een browser naar de server hoeft te gaan om het...
