It refresh the cache. Normally you don't have to purge it, only when you need guest to see some new content immediately.

So, if I never purge it, guests will not see new content? I have new content, post, thread - etc. updating by the minute most times...

If you don't purge, the cache will be refreshed by itself every 10 minutes (it's the default TTL, you can change it if you want).

@xfrocks - how do I blackist my Google ads?

I'm not sure, deferring javascript isn't always guaranteed to improve performance (and even when it does the improvement can be negligible).

Do you have Zend Opcache enabled? Also one thing I noticed is your ads are being deferred, they should be blacklisted in the options.

Lastly, the outlier of the tests above is performed in the Netherlands, while all the rest are performed in Dallas. The ones in Dallas are a lot closer, but there's still some slowdown. Nevertheless if you feel this add-on is having a net loss on performance then you're probably better without it.

Sorry, those sentences are unrelated. Just go to Options > Defer JS and enter google or something that matches the adsbygoogle.js file or what have you.

I'm a bit lost, how do you even know if the blacklisting is working? My ads show on every refresh of my page for me.

If the ad show up in the right spot then the blacklist worked. If it didn't, all the ads would be at the bottom of the page.

Do you need the full Error Log?

Looks like the add-on is trying to clean up itself. You can do that by deleting internal_data/bdCache and data/bdCache before uninstalling again.
