AWS and XF 2.0 - suggestions/advice/help :)

Hi Everyone,

I posted this in installation area and no responses so far so I thought maybe this would be a better area.

Getting ready to launch some new sites and want to try XF 2.0 on AWS.

How difficult is this to do? Anyone have experience in this area and can offer any tips or advice? Around four years ago we had XF 1 running on an AWS AC2 server (but we had someone set it up for us) - it was a pain and somewhat complicated to maintain. Hopefully, things have gotten simpler since that time.

I just launched a WordPress site with AWS Lightsail, and that was a breeze although XF 2.0, unfortunately, do not have a Lightsail setup

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

As long as you're comfortable managing a server, AWS shouldn't be much different. And if you're using a new AWS account, you'll have access to the free tier, which makes it extremely cost effective for a new/small site.

You can run Xen Foro on AWS Lightsail using LAMP instance.

Yes, thank you. @fly did a great job of setting us up and getting us running on AC2 instance in January. Our site will go live in a few weeks, and we are really happy with it. @fly knows his stuff!
