XF 1.4 Avatars 404

HI,
i set up a new forum
its XF 1.4 ; Featured Threads and a style.

But when i upload an avatar it shows succesfully uploaded but i get a broken image.
when i try to open the link to the picture i get an 404 error

anyone some ideas how to fix it?

Ensure the data and internal_data directories are recursively chmod 0777.

Checked its 0777

but i also got an owncloud error maybe i messed up with some configs ...

ill write if i found the solution

Fixed my configs but that dindt solve the avatar problem

i also got a problem with https://xenforo.com/community/resources/add-on-install-upgrade.960/
wich gives me "Premission denied mkdir ()"

maybe these problems are linked ?!

so any ideas what it could be?

Yes, it's a permissions issue related to the directories/files.

You may also need to chown.

Contact your host and they should be able to help.

i think when i messed up with the configs it messed up the rights fot the files and folders ...


so a list wich folder need wich rights would be great

General files and directories should be 0644 and 0755 respectively.

The /data and /internal_data directories should be:

• 0666/0777 if PHP runs as "nobody" (the web server user)
• 0644/0755 if it runs as "your" user (suPHP for example)

0644/07555 only works if PHP is running as the user that owns the file (generally with cpanel setups).

Once the files are finished uploading, you must set permissions (or CHMOD) several places. This is necessary to ensure that XenForo can write to those parts of your server. You can usually do this with your FTP client.

1. In the set of files and directories you just uploaded, you will see 2 folders: data and internal_data.
2. These two directories must be set to world writeable (CHMOD 0777) or give the IUSR_ Full Control in Windows.

Its realy strange i checked all the rights and the files all belong to root:root

and when i look with winSCP the file is there https://allaround.cc/data/avatars/m/0/1.jpg and it has 0777 atm.

but i get 404 :/


PS: i dont have a thing like cpanel or isp config

my php-fpm and my ngnix are running as a user called www
whats the correct owner for the forum files root or www ?

Ok Guy good news

Problem got soleved !

it was a problem comming from the rewrite rules for nginx wich dont work together with the rewrites form owncloud.

So if someone also should have these rpoblems check your nginx configs if thy work fine together.
