XF 1.4 Autosaved posts problem

When some users have submitted a post in a thread when they go back to it later the previous posting is still in my reply box. They then have to select it all and cut before I can write a new reply.

What could be causing this?

Disable all add-ons; if the issue disappears, it's add-on related, in which case re-enable add-ons one by one until you find the culprit.
