Duplicate Automatically mark alerts read when the content they are based on has been read

Although technically correct, I find it highy annoying that alerts for content that has already been read keep staying up as unread:
If I get an alert for a new reply in a watched thread and I directly visit this thread and read all new replies, the alert that someone has posted a new reply will stay active until I've opened the alerts (or until it has expired, whatever comes first).

I'd prefer if the alert would automatically become read immediately after I've read the content it is based on.

Well, I checked every thread in the sugesstions forum (if I did't accidently miss one) dealing with alerts and havn't found one.
If one does existing it would be nice to have a like.

Of course this can be done as an Add-on, but I feel this should be a core featue so I've suggested it here.

Though, all of them are marked as Lack of Interesed (or Duplicates of those marked as Lack of Interest)

If a suggestion is tagged with "lack of interest" and you're still interested in it, you're free to re-suggest it in the correct forum.
