XF 2.2 Automatic upgrader stalled on "Upgrading" message

Trying to upgrade from Beta 3 to Beta 4 test installation.

For the past 20 mins or so, the message reads:

The site is currently being upgraded. Please check back later.

How to I get past this? There are no error messages displayed (other than one that says the URL doesn't match the license - I don't know how to fix that either).

Should I just go to manual upgrade?

Navigate to /install to start/resume it.

Worked beautifully.

What do I do about this? Just ignore it? I have the beta installed in a test subdomain of the listed domain running the latest 2.1 version so I don't want to risk overwriting anything there.

The Board URL option does not match the site URL configured for your license.

You can ignore that message for test and development installations.
