XF 1.5 Attachments not working from old Safari/Mac. Anything I can do?

One of my site members says he is unable to attach images. He is using an old Mac with an old Safari version and does not want to change either of those.

Safari Version 5.0.6 (5533.22.3)
System: Mac OS X 10.5.8 (9L31a)
Kernel-Version: Darwin 9.8.0

Is there anything I can do to let him upload attachments on that system?

Does it work if he unchecks 'Use the Flash-based uploader to upload attachments' in his preferences?

I'm using the HTML5 uploader and don't see that "Use the Flash-based" option in preferences anymore.

We found a workaround though. He's uploading to a third party site and embedding from there. Thanks.
