XF 2.3 Article character limit 10k after publishing

If I create a new article the character limit is 30k
But after publishing and trying to edit it, the limit becomes 10k
How's this possible?

it sits at 10,000

But for article forums it should be 30k unmodifiable (except if using add-ons)
I don't have any add-on for this.

So I start a new article I see the limit is 30k as it should be by default.
However after publishing and clicking edit, the limit reverts to 10k!

XF 2.3.6 -- Cannot reproduce the issue as you describe it.

Published article at 30,000 characters, if I try to edit it and add characters, it gives 30,000 character limit error.
Otherwise, can edit existing content with no issue.

Any reply to that article is limited to 10,000 characters by the post character limit.
