Apache Access logs

Does someone why my Apache access logs are filled up with this:

What with this Apache internal dummy connection?
I am using Debian Squeeze 64 bit.

This is connection from localhost (the server itself): http://wiki.apache.org/httpd/InternalDummyConnection. This is not necessarily a bug:

When the Apache HTTP Server manages its child processes, it needs a way to wake up processes that are listening for new connections. To do this, it sends a simple HTTP request back to itself.
