XF 2.2 Any way to "hide" the links in public navigation and only show them when I hover over them?

Hi!
If you have a lot of items in the public navigation it is pretty hard to manage them. Is there any way to hide the "sub navigation items" and only show them if I hover over the "parent" ?

If someone doesnt get it: what I basically want is an extra "open up" feature to the public navigation. Pretty similar to how for example Adobe program menus work: doesnt show every option only if you hover over it.
