XF 1.3 Any way or plans to make links fetch page titles from target?

One of the nice things that vbSEO had was the ability to fetch a link and make it display in a prettier fashion.

So instead of http://www.google.com/webmasters it would change the user input link automatically to "Webmaster Tools | Google" linked with the URL entered.

Is there any way or plan to make this work with XF?

My searching powers turned up many keywords matched but nothing on point that I saw.

It would require an add-on to achieve that.

I believe there is an open suggestion for it.

@Chris D has an addon for this.
But unfortunately it doesn't work with Direct Download Links.
