MOSS Applies to countries outside the EU too. A US company technically still has to comply with the MOSS regulations.

That's right, and some do. But of course many don't.

The ad news for us in the Uk is when we brexit, there may be no more MOSS, we just have to register in every country, or in one country (e.g. Ireland) and use their MOSS scheme.

Or we may not register at all because we won't be a part of their centralised sales taxation scheme.

We're meant to still charge VAT to EU customers, but I mean, we're not going to be under EU control so it's not like it matters. I can't name any US companies that properly comply, even the huge corporations.
