Here's the deal...
We're considering building a stand alone room inside of a large commercial building for video purposes. The room would be 18 feet X 18 feet. We'd like to vault the ceiling in the most simple way possible.
What I've proposed is using 2 x 10's to vault the ceiling something like this resting on the walls (forgive the terrible art)...
I know that wouldn't be acceptable for a roof but this will simply hold a drywall ceiling and insulation. What I am concerned about is if the walls will splay out if it's done this way.
Any input would be appreciated.
