Site was working, nothing major supposedly changed (not m site, I just help out), any ideas what is causing this?

If you have changed nothing, contact your host, as something appears to have changed with regards to the MySQL credentials.

I remember (faintly) a site owner having the same issue... turned out their hosting provider apparently changed the DB password for some reason.
