Lack of interest Allow searching without having to input a poster's name

At times, I want to search for threads with a specific prefix. However, the software is insistent on requiring a poster's name to do the search. Shouldn't have to input a username for that type of search.

FYI: It goes away if you use *** in the Keywords.

Is this a bug ?
