XF 2.2 Allow people to see their own threads

I have on my forums an application system, so they can submit an application. However, only Staff can see it. I am trying to make it so Staff and the person whom posted the thread only can see it, is it possible?

Yes. I do it so someone can start a thread that only they and staff can see it. Also I use it for reports so the reporter can talk to staff privately.

1. Create a forum (can be hidden from node list). I call this Contact Mods (your threads are private)
2. Set forum permissions so registered usergroup cannot view threads by others, moderator usergroup can view threads by others.
3. Set Unregistered usergroup cannot view the node
4. I set a big notice in that forum reassuring the member who reports or contacts that it is private.

Better report & admin contact

Allow members to contact admin privately, also allows report discussion with admin.
