Alerts not working

Hello there alerts are not working I installed this addon http://xenforo.com/community/threads/ajaxboy-autoupdater.12505/ I tried to delete all of the files added by it and I un-installed it, but that was a few days ago. I just realized that it was not working... I have around 10 addons installed. Also the PM notification IS working. My forum wasn't active until today and that is probably why I noticed, what is wrong? http://teckieforums.info The only thing not working is the Alerts system (and the alert system is not working in the least way, it is almost like it was disabled!)

1) Try to reproduce the problem on a default style. Create a new style with no parent:

Admin CP -> Appearance -> Styles -> Create New Style

Then select that style on your forum. If the problem goes away when using the new style then you know it's a problem with your custom style.

2) Try disabling your addons:

Admin CP -> Home

Use the check boxes on the right side under Installed Add-ons.

Wow, this is weird, I created another account and made a test thread (the other account was using the custom theme) With MY account which was using the unchanged default them. I "responded" to the thread I had created with the other account and the alert worked! So I don't know what was wrong, it isn't the theme or the addons. Maybe it was the browser?

Hmm, that seems inconsistent. Make sure you are taking an action that triggers an alert when you are trying to reproduce the problem.

A style problem can affect the display of alerts, but it shouldn't stop alerts from being posted.

I was, I am not getting alerts when other REAL users are responding to my threads, I am using FireFox. Is there a way to turn this off via User CP?
