XF 1.2 Alerts not working on @username

So, when a user tags another user in a thread the "receiving" user is not getting an alert notification. I have ensure that the option is checked in the user profile. What could be going wrong here?

This a tapatalk issue. Have you uninstalled the plugin recently?

If so, go to forum/install/ and rebuild the master data.

I don't have tapatalk... But I think I figured it out as a styling issue... Are new alerts styled with a different background color vs. read alerts? If so, anyone know the class?

Actually only if you receive emtpy alerts. Before that please try to edit the usergroup settings. The number of alerts seem to be wrong.

Here's what I mean... the first alert has a transparent BG until you roll over it.
