This is something I was trying with CSCN adminCP style. However, I have no way to make the contents of cells fill their widths (1/3 row).
This may be related to some deep CSS hack done by XF2 default admin style, making me feel like I'd better send this as a suggestion to XF devs.
Using multiple columns for grouplists can sufficiently utilize the horizontal screen space even if the screen resolution width is within 1280px.
