XF 2.3 Admin keeps logging out automatically

I just got my fourm set up, and everything on a namecheap vps server, and my admin panel continously logs itself out every few minutes. I don't know how to fix it or if it's a bug or something.

This isn't a bug with the software itself imo, but it looks like your ip address is changing while you are in session.

Are you using Cloudflare? If you are, and you haven't not rewritten the IP addresses, but you use the Cloudflare 's proxy ip addresses, it causes mid session ip changes.

Are you changing sessions yourself by going to a test forum at the same time for example? because that will also cause the automated logout from your main forum. If that's not the case I think it would be a good idea to ask your host about this and see if they have something in place that will cause the session change.

no idea what you mean by a test forum and ive already asked my host and theres not much they can do at this moment with my current VPS plan.

What I meant by that was if you had installed XenForo to a secondary folder of subdomain for testing purposes, and alternating sessions between your main and test forum would cause the automated log outs. But from your reply we can rule this out as being the cause of the issue. I asked about it to cover all bases.

xenforo is the only thing installed on the VPS outside of the basic OS thats running things

tbh I have no idea. But a good friend of mine did some work on the backend for me with configs, and whatever they did fixed whatever was wrong with it.
