Add-on Addon for set attachement download conditions

Is there an addon or can someone program it in which you can set the conditions when a user is allowed to download attachments?
E.g.

• The user has at least a number of points
• The user is registered for at least a certain time
• etc

You don't need an Add-on for this.

Just configure usergroups as required und use promotions.

Can you show me how to do this using an example?

Sure.

1. Set permission View attachments to posts to No for usergroup Registered
2. Create a new usergroup Attachment Permissions and set all permissions to No except for View attachments to posts which must be set to Yes
3. Create a user group promotion to add users to usergroup Attachment Permissions with condition User has posted at least X messages = 10

Result: Only users with at least 10 posts will be able to download attachments.

Can unauthorized users still view the attachment (just not download it)?

No. It is technically impossible to view an attachment without downloading it.
