Adding image with low opacity over existing image

    Well, I guess you can guess what this is for.

    Is there any way (in XF/Zend or general PHP) to add a 30% opacity image, let's say, over another image like a signature or avatar? I think this sort of image manipulation is possible in Imagick, not sure about GD and I have no idea on how to go about it either way.

    Is it about the Paris attack add-on someone talked about on TAZ? If so you just use CSS to add that effect.

    It's a bit buggy though, appears like Facebook created an entirely new jpg image.

    You know what makes it harder, the fact that XF has 3 different avatars in sizes in 3 different locations independently... I'd rather prefer an avatar.php solution.

    Figured it out. Used a different way rather than image manipulation.
