Adding a Footer?

I have a custom skin and I am trying to add the footer I had when I was on IP.Board. It's just regular html and css code, so I thought I could just enter the html in the PAGE_CONTAINTER and make a css template, but I guess I can't. I made a template called corefooter and one called corefooter.css what can I do from here to link it to the board?

I was able to 'wrap' my design onto XF by using page_container and extras.css. Can you link us to the site? What went wrong with that? I'd presume the new css 'calling' should be added in page_container (in the <head> area)

Nevermind I got it. Just added the css to EXTRA.css
