Similar to how you can display notices to users who are not in specific user groups.
On certain communities, especially gaming it may desirable to have the majority of members or all members in a certain usergroup to have their account associated with an external provider such as steam or discord.
For example, when members are a certain level of their application on my site they need to associate their account with Steam so we can vet them for VAC bans.
With full clan members we require them to have their account associated with discord so they can get forum push notifications through the Discord app and we can sync their forum usernames to the server.
This could also be useful for professional communities, you could display a notice to users to ensure they connect their account with LinkedIn or Facebook to allow a level of account verification.
