XF 2.3 Add-on data template.xml keep old data

I am facing a weird situation.

I own an add-on and now I've updated it for XF 2.3 (changed a line), however the data/template.xml insists in keep the old data, even if I delete the file or rebuild all cache files.

I've already saved a lot of times, generate several new versions and still the same.

How can I have my add-on to recognize the changes? Am I missing something?

To get the data/template/xml to update you would either have to:
php cmd.php xf-addon:build-release [addon_id] or
php cmd.php xf-addon:export [addon_id]

I've tried both but didn't work. Even deleting the templates.xml file and after running the commands, the file is created again with the old data.

Long shot but did you bump the addon version?

Yes I did, all the time, but never updated the template.xml

php cmd.php xf-addon:sync-json [addon_id]

And then build release

When I try this command, appears the following message: "There do not appear to be any JSON changes to sync."

Is this related to hashes.json file?

Don't know enough to tell you if its hashes.json related. You could delete it and see what happens.

The XML isn't generated from thin air, it's just the content that is stored in the database.

Did you triple-check if the correct version of the template is in the db?

I believe you are missing something.
The template.xml I mentioned is inside _data folder from the add-on, not in db.

Yeah, and I said it's generated from the content in the DB.

Therefore: Triple-Check if the content of the template in the DB is the current version.
