I would like to see an option to allow us to link to externally hosted file(s) by providing a URL, as long as the external file extension is one of the allowed types set by an admin (zip, 7z, rar etc). When the 'Download' button is clicked, it should initiate a download directly from that host to your pc.
This is similar to the File Linking request by Robert Carey, but not exactly the same, so I created this new thread.
