A simple request...

Add a user group permission to enable or disable the user's ability to change styles.

Many of us forbid unregistered users from changing styles and it would simplify the process. It would also simplify the ability to force everyone to use one style.

More than that, probably, certainly 4 times, I flagged another duplicate a couple of years ago:

It would be a useful feature and one which people from other forum software (e.g. phpBB) are used to having.

Looks like the original post has been closed for "Lack of Interest" while the others are getting closed as "Duplicate" including this one.

I wonder if the 'Likes' for all of the threads were counted together if then there'd be enough 'interest' to keep the suggestion open.

I think style permissions would be a nice core feature. For instance, offering Account Upgrades access to premium styles would be an an additional incentive to upgrade.

Allow/disallow style selection based on usergroup membership

I'd like to suggest a link between styles and usergroups so we can selectively revoke style choices for guests, or allow premium members access to specific styles, etc. In particular I want to present a non-responsive only style to guests (no ability to select alternative styles), whilst at the...

Duplicate - Style Permissions per Usergroup

I've got some styles that I don't want available to certain usergroups - for example forcing guests to use the primary style for consistency, but allow VIP members a choice. My suggestion would be to add a usergroup permission setting to allow style changes.
