Acknowledging/rewarding loyal members with custom titles and credits?

Hey guys,
Im not quite sure how best to ask this question, but I'm wanting to somehow reward members for sticking around long term. Some kind of rewards, or credit based system that acts as an incentive for members to say and of course reduce churn.

Id be interested in hearing how others are handling this, perhaps what addons they're using and what offers they have in place to achieve this.

Right now Im thinking -

• 6 months - Free coaching call and special custom title
• 12 months - 2 free coaching calls and a special custom title

I have seen other memberships referring to members as "Gold" and "Diamond" level, which Im unsure of, but it does seem to mean a lot to members. I also had someone suggest adding "credits" each month for renewals to which members could use to get discounts on certain product and service offerings - and if they cancel those lose those credits. I quite like this idea too.

Is there an addon that does this? Obviously I want to automate this.

The custom titles can be awarded to users based on the trophies criteria and this is a default feature within xenForo.

And to upgrade users to various usergroups and gift them something like extra permissions, you can achieve that using default XF feature "Usergroup Promotions"

I personally avoid using any addons but to filter and add more criteria for usergroup promotions, i do recommend using this addon from @ThemeHouse https://xenforo.com/community/resources/th-user-criteria-extended.6276/

Rest of the automation will be handled via default XF features itself for the user.

Can all of this be automated? Because I'd rather not have to check how long each member has been in my group in order to assign them custom titles and give them credits etc.

I mean, ideally I just want their titles to automatically change to "Gold Member" if they've been registered for 6 months, then "Diamond Member" once at 12 months.

Yeah all of this is automatic. You just need to create a trophy in admin cp, using this criteria

https://example.com/admin.php?trophies/add

and configure trophy points properly. This will allow you to control the value of "Custom Title" under username

https://example.com/admin.php?user-title-ladder/

In any case if you want a highlighted banner under username, use usergroup promotions to add a user in new usergroup with same criteria.
