A showcase of GTA 6 Community forums I made

Hello everyone!

I'd like to share a project I've been working on over the past year called Gulf City. It's a community built for Grand Theft Auto VI, with the goal of bringing players together to discuss the game, share content, participate in events, and build lasting friendships as GTA VI continues to grow.

Alongside our Discord server, we've built a forum where members can discuss the latest news, post screenshots and media, write guides, showcase their creations, and take part in community discussions. My inspiration came from the classic gaming forums many of us enjoyed years ago, and I wanted to bring that experience back with a modern look and feel.

Main website link: https://gulfcity.gg (it comes with an external web page that takes you to the forums if you click on the button) - Don't mind the bugs in transitions between the pages; it will be fixed soon.

The project is still growing, and I'm constantly improving it based on community feedback. Every suggestion helps make Gulf City a better place for GTA VI fans.

I'd really appreciate your honest thoughts.

  • What do you think of the overall design?
  • Does the forum feel inviting and easy to use?
  • Is there anything you would add or change?

Thanks for taking the time to check it out. I look forward to hearing your feedback!

Im a bit of a critique and due to my ADD pretty picky. So here goes:

The main logo, pretty blend, should be like your profile photo, dont like the dark red and the black text on the bg should be white IMO

Hey, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts.

I actually agree with your points. The logo is something I’ve been debating for a while. Part of me wants to redesign it with a more unique identity, especially to avoid any potential Rockstar Games trademark concerns. On the other hand, I also like having something that’s instantly recognizable to GTA fans. It’s a balance I’m still trying to find, but I’m definitely leaning toward creating a stronger original brand for Gulf City.

As for the red buttons, I agree as well. They stand out more than they should, so I’ll experiment with different colors to create a cleaner and more balanced look.

I really appreciate the constructive feedback. Comments like yours help improve the project, so thank you!

Hmm Gulf City above "Forum Community I would've done in white, I also don't get the red and orange. I have Red and Orange too on my forum but my forum has the dutch colors red white and blue and we use orange because our national footbal and kingdom uses orange. I would Switch the red for the bottom colors of your admin logo and the orange to light purple. Also the Gulf logo I would make that the same as your admin logo. Besides that I like it.

Good luck! If I can give a point of advice, find yourself a higher resolution background image, as it's too small for bigger screens:

Your new logo is much better suited to the design. Great job.

--EDIT--
Just noticed the site logo is different to the forums. I think you should use the site logo for both.

I agree, your homepage is very nicely done. But then you visit the forums and the quality is noticeably lower. Try to maintain that quality throughout your complete package. Although XF is a limited in modern design.

This layout looks absolutely clean, mate! The Vice City vibe and color scheme match the GTA 6 aesthetic perfectly. Good job on the theme execution. Seeing forum designs like this gives great inspiration for gaming projects. Keep up the awesome work!
