XF 2.2 A couple users on my forum have had recent TOOLBAR problems...

A couple users on my forum have had recent TOOLBAR problems...
does this sound familiar?

"the tool bar just blanks-out when I make new post--I can't bold the text, among other problems" - user-2
"pale grey non-functioning text toolbar" - user-1


other users including myself have NOT had this 'toolbar problem.
[the 2nd user is running on a LINUX computer and solved problem by restoring some backup]
[I'll have to ask the other user what operating sysem they are using, what browse, etc.]

Has there been any UPDATE TO THE XENFORO FORUM SOFTWARE???? I am using Community platform by XenForo® © 2010-2022 XenForo Ltd.

Have you had them check to see if they're in BBCode mode, or plain text mode?

Where should I look for the "click the [] 's icon" ??? - - OH!! I NEVER SAW THAT SWITCH!!! ON THE UPPER LEFT "[ ]"

No it's on the upper right, next to the disk icon.
It's the [ ] icon as @briansol pointed out.

Thanks again. I think that TOGGLE BBCODE SWITCH was the problem.
As I have not been using BBcode - and that switch is normally 'hidden' under the three verticle does on the right
I didn't realize that clicking on the [ ] (bbcode toggle icon) would 'grey out all the normal text icons...
I passed this 'solution' on to my forum users that complained about the 'greyed out text icons'
pretty sure that must have been the accidental problem.
I think we can close this thread and mark it 'SOLVED' (thanks)

PS. when I wasn't sure what was causing the text icon 'problem' I wanted to make sure
that I had updated to the most current version of Xenforo forum software...
thinking I might have not downloaded the latest ----- but just now realized that
it would be the Xenforo creator website staff that would be updating VERSIONS
AND when all users access a Xenforo forum online that they are always accessing the most updated version
in a similar way the browser software is updated by the browser company
but then other software applications have users 'check for update' and download updated versions...
it's just been a while since I had originally downloaded Xenforo and set up my forum (a few? years ago)
