Which monitor would you prefer for a sysadmin mostly browsing the web, using the terminal, watching YouTube for some breaks, and sometimes playing movies on the weekend?

Both are 27 inches but have different display types.
I'm looking at the Asus ProArt 5k monitor or the Samsung 4k OLED.

Please vote on the poll above and post your reply as to why you chose it.

Keep in mind, that ProArt 5k is only 60hz

I use a LG C3 OLED as a flight simulator “monitor” and gives me tons of screen space for admin tasks. Looks great and is 120hz

For sysadmin on a 27" screen you will not be able to distinguish the difference in PPI for a 4K vs 5K screen. At a viewing distance of about 24" (you likely will not be any closer), both displays will have a higher resolution than the human eye can perceive. The benefits of the more expensive 5K IPS will likely be moot points since brightness (for sysadmin is not really important, either one will go way more bright than you will need at 24"), burn-in (not really a concern with most modern screens), clarity difference between both will not be perceivable. Refresh rates of 60 versus 120 will matter very little unless you're gaming or video editing, you will not notice a difference with sysadmin tasks and YouTube viewing.

I'd say go with the 4K OLED, and if you really want to boost production take the saved money and move to a 2 (or more) monitor setup.
