XF 2.0 403 forbidden

Hello
Well basically, last time I wrote about this there wasn't any solution offered nor I can find the thread anymore. Problem is the following; Very often when trying to browse forums of our website we get error 403 forbidden. Please note that this only happens with XF. We are on same dedicated server host for years and nothing was changed it worked flawlessly on phpbb before we moved to xf.

You don't have permission to access /forum/index.php on this server.

Is there anything we can do permission wise for a said file? No matter what the link is, it always says index.php, other stuff is working fine. Keep in mind that this happens only sometimes but it's very annoying and God knows how many users on the forums we lose because of this. Basically ever since we moved to XF users online declined by at least double so I assume people are experiencing this often. We changed nothing in host settings for years and everything worked just fine.

That's a server level security mechanism.

Contact your host and they should be able to whitelist or disable whichever rule is being triggered.
