Not a bug  3rd level Sub Forum doesn't appear on forum list but does in node list

Not sure how to describe this.
I imported my vB3 forum. Site Feedback is open for posts.

Within Site Feedback I have 2 subforums
1. Site Feedback (level 1)
1.1 Announcements (level 2)
1.1.1. Special Section (level 3)
1.2 Purgatory (level 2)

Special Section does not appear on my XF forum although I see it it in the node tree.
I realize I can change the order of my forums before importing, but is there a limit to the number of levels of forums?

It should show a little subforum menu, like this:

Do you see that menu anywhere? I don't see any on/off switch for that menu unless you removed it from the templates.

You can go beyond 2 levels of forums but it requires some template edits.

Nope. No subforum icon. The image in my post is exactly like it appears.
So the answer is really yes and no.
If it requires template edits, I'd say it's a bug. No?
Also make sure you have "Display in the node list" checked.
It is.

I need to check the permissions.

Yep. The usergroup to view that missing forum was not checked for me.
Although I don't know why I was not able to see it as admin. But that's another story.

So. . .It is working as designed.

Thread can be moved.

Unless you explicitly set the admin permissions to view then the inherited permission would have been from the registered users group.

At least it's sorted.

I'll move it to resolved.
