2.2 regression: Tooltip trigger hover does not work on iPad with trackpad

When using a trackpad on an iPad to trigger a hover tooltip (like hovering over Like to trigger the reactions menu) nohing happens, eg. the tooltip is not triggered.

This did work in XenForo 2.2

Something similar on iOS (possibly iPadOS as well): If you tap on something that should trigger a tooltip, but isn't a link, the tooltip does not show up. This happened with an iOS update 2 years ago or so (and was not connected to changes in XF) and was not fixed yet.

@Kirby, may I ask you to check if that might be a similar issue or if what you reported really still works on XF 2.2 with recent iPadOS?

I can't test this myself as I don't have a trackpad.

We upgraded a XenForo 2.2.19 to 2.3.10 on monday and got this issue reported from multiple users so I am pretty sure it did work with 2.2.19 until the upgrade.

We also got reports that editor icons don't work with trackpad on iPadOS. Might be caused by the same root issue (probably a bug / behavioural change in isValidTarget() that causes xfPointerType to not be set but we are still investigating.
