Hello,
I'm a new Xenforo user, so the software updates/upgrades are still a new experience for me. I saw the notice today (11-22-18) regarding the security upgrade/patch and decided to try the patch first. I use FileZilla. One file transferred and it's done? I noticed in the Admin area that the version was still 2.0.10, so I decided to install the upgrade. Wow, lots and lots of files uploaded, plus the install routine. Admin now shows 2.0.11.
How can these two wildly different processes be accomplishing the same thing? For similar updates/upgrades, how can I knowledgeably CHOOSE which route to take?
Thanks!
Tom
