  • 👤 Manual Badge Awards: Assign badges directly to individual members.
  • 🔄 Bulk Badge Assignment: Add or remove badges for multiple users at once.
  • 👥 Badge Owners: Assign multiple managers to manually awarded badges.
  • 🛠️ Owner Badge Management: Let badge owners add and remove recipients from their account area without requiring administrator access.
  • 🔒 Administrator-Controlled Ownership: Administrators determine badge owners while existing awards remain unchanged when ownership changes.

Badge Requests & Approval

  • 📝 Request Information: Collect messages, attachments, and custom field information with badge requests.
  • ✅ Approval Queue Integration: Review, approve, or reject badge requests through XenForo's approval queue.

  • 🚫 Immediate Expiry: Expired badges stop displaying as active as soon as their term ends.
  • 📝 Renewal Workflow: Process renewal requests using the existing message, attachment, custom field, and approval workflow.
  • 🛡️ Safe Renewal Dates: Preserve remaining valid time when appropriate or begin a new term when an already expired badge is renewed.

  • 📜 Badge History: Record badge awards and removals for administrative review.
  • 🔎 History Filters: Filter records by member, badge, actor, action, source, and date.
  • 📝 Historical Context: Preserve badge names, reasons, and related request references in history entries.
  • 🔒 History Permission: Control access to badge history with a dedicated administrator permission.
  • ⚙️ Automatic History Control: Independently enable logging for automatic criteria changes and badge expiration.
  • 🧹 History Retention: Automatically prune eligible automatic history entries after a configurable period while preserving manual history.
  • 🔄 Renewal-Aware History: Renewing an active badge does not create an unnecessary duplicate award event.

FAQ:

  • ❓ Can the same badge be assigned both automatically and manually?
Yes. Administrators and authorized moderators can manually assign an automatic badge. Its configured retention mode still applies to every holder. A conditionally retained badge can be removed when its criteria are no longer met, while a manually removed badge can be awarded again during the next automatic check if the member still meets the criteria.
  • 👥 Can badge owners manage automatically awarded badges?
No. Badge owners are available only for manually awarded badges, preventing owner actions from conflicting with automatic criteria and retention rules.
  • ⏱️ Will changing a badge's validity period update existing awards?
No. A new validity period applies to future awards and renewal requests. Existing expiry dates remain unchanged unless an administrator or authorized moderator edits an individual assignment.
  • 🔄 What happens if a renewal request is pending when the badge expires?
The pending request does not extend the existing term. The badge stops displaying after expiration. If the renewal is later approved, the new term is calculated so applicable remaining valid time is preserved.
  • 👤 Can members see who else has received a badge?
Yes, when they have permission to view badge recipients. The public badge catalog can display the current recipient count and link to a recipient list without exposing members to user groups that lack access.
  • ↕️ How is the display order of multiple badges determined?
Badges follow their configured ACP display order. Badges with the same display order use their badge ID as a stable fallback.
  • ⌛ Are expired badge assignments deleted?
No. An expired assignment stops displaying as an active badge, but its record remains available for renewal and administrative review. Expiry can also be recorded in badge history when automatic history logging is enabled.

Very good plugin, I recommend it. You can add several verifications. The very attentive and kind developer solved our problems when configuring the addons.
works really well, I like the customization that I can do and the open feel. I wish more addons would be created like this.
At our internal forum we have a lot of different organizations that use the forum. Before this, we managed assigned users from the same organization with user banners, but we quickly realized this was a huge amount of work.

Therefor I asked Ozzy and Painbaker to develop an add-on that works similar as X's Affiliated badges, adding a logo of the company or organization the user represents.

This add-on does precisely what I asked for, and it is also easy-to-use!
There are tons of options, permissions and even a badge request page.

As usual, Ozzy has yet again proven his add-on development quality work. Great job, both of you!
